Collage

Once upon a time I was into simple collage.  Don't do it anymore but here a few of the ones I did back in 2008.  With copyright issues and all that stuff it is iffy to sell or post work anymore.

ATCs

Lately I haven't been very "arty" feeling.  I've spent more time knitting than I have in my studio.  Hopefully that will change in the new year....  I can hope at least.  It is amazing how life just steps in and alters your schedule.

A Few ATCs

These are all from 2010.  I have only recently started working on ATCs again.  My studio is a complete shambles and I can't find anything much so bigger projects will have to wait for awhile.

Personal Challenge

It's been a long time since I have even thought about blogging or been able to access my studio.  Now that the studio looks like I might be able to actually work in it I have decided to Challenge Myself to 52 pieces of new art. That's one a week and for me that is quite a challenge.  I certainly do admire those folks who can do a 365 day challenge.  I'm afraid I'd be dead in the water before I even started.  Once a week is good.  I'm going to post a new piece of art every Friday morning starting next week, October 10th 2012.  Wish me luck.

Pooh says I can do it.

Beaded Art Dolls

My passion in life is beads and beading. After that it is paper arts.... pretty much all of them.
My inspiration came from well known bead artist Megan Noel. Her work is legendary, in my opinion anyway, in the art doll community.

My first doll was done in a black palette and unfortunately she was sold before I could get, or thought of getting photos of her. There have been a lot of dolls since then, all but one sold. My favourite, I think was The Shaman. A wonderful doll to create. Done mostly in wood, bone with many embellisments. He is seen here. This is the one sale I deeply regret. Over the past couple of years I have collecting the components to make another one but there can only be one Shaman. The next will be different but hopefully just as beautiful and satisfying as the first.
